The Calabogie Medical Centre was built in 1976 as a joint project of the Calabogie Lions Club and the Townships of Bagot and Blythfield. Since then, it has provided primary medical care for residents of Calabogie and surrounding areas. There are currently two physicians working part time at the clinic: Dr. Max Buxton and Dr. Kristian Davis. Dr. Buxton is a graduate of the Carleton University (BSc '80) and of Queen's (MD '84).
